About the Event

Since 2012, we have developed strong connections with a group of elderly residents in the Shek Kip Mei and Ngau Tau Kok districts, who have benefited from hot meal services provided by our partner, St. James Settlement. Each month, a dedicated team of volunteers visits these seniors to support their physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Over the years, we have experienced many ups and downs alongside elderly individuals living alone, and we will be sharing our insights in this training session.

We hope that, after this training, you will feel inspired to take action to support those who are lonely and join us in caring for these elderly individuals in the future.

This service training will be divided into three parts:

  1. Statistics on the challenges faced by elderly individuals living alone.

  2. The specific challenges and needs we have observed during our service visits.

  3. A brief training on how home visitations can make a meaningful difference for this population.
