Creating Life Stories for the Carers and the Elderly

Memories are precious and are worth documenting! The social workers at Hong Kong Family Welfare Society in North Point would like to create a book illustrating the life stories of the carers and the elderly they have gotten to know. They are looking for volunteers to help interview the elderly and the carer, and jot down the answers alongside of the social worker. Four training sessions will be provided to not only equip volunteers with interviewing techniques and tips, but you'll get  to connect with the elderly through planned activities led by the social worker. Through the interviews, we hope the volunteers can bridge the gap between the young and old as volunteers glean wisdom and appreciate the experiences shared by the previous generation in times of adversity and in times of opportunity.

Compulsory Training Dates: Aug 19, 26, Sep 2, 9 (Saturdays)

Training Time: 10am - 12pm

Interviewing Dates: To be decided with elderly & social worker in September
