About the Event
Since 2012, we have been visiting the elderly residing in Shek Kip Mei district. This season, we are exploring a new partnership with Salvation Army, and our hope is to recruit Cantonese speaking volunteers who will be paired in groups of 2-3 to visit the same elderly household one Saturday per month on scheduled visit dates, for six months in each round of commitment. The scheduled dates are to be decided between your small group you are assigned with and your elderly, however we will have scheduled dim sum lunches every other month for the volunteers and elderly. After six months, there will be an evaluation to see whether elderly and volunteers are interested in continuing to build the relationships.
