IT Training for Seniors

In the past decade, technological advancement has revolutionized the way we live and connect with the world, and many elderly are left feeling overwhelmed by all the new technology around us, and struggle to stay connected. Gaining digital literacy training can give the elderly a sense of confidence as they access information and services online. Hong Kong Family Welfare Society in North Point is hosting four training sessions led by their IT staff, and they are looking for volunteers to sit and assist the elderly on how to use smartphones including text messaging, using the camera and watching videos. To promote consistency, volunteers are encouraged to commit to all four sessions as you will be paired up and matched with the same elderly over the course of training.
