Po Leung Kuk Children’s Outing

For over a decade, a committed team of volunteers from Island ECC has been consistently visiting the children at Po Leung Kuk. We are partnering with the church to send volunteers to Po Leung Kuk to engage with the children through regular visits and outings. Our goal is to build strong relationships through love and care by visiting monthly, so volunteers need to commit to a minimum of nine of the scheduled outing dates. Since we are partnering with a church to carry out the outings, there will be Christian elements such as bible story telling and prayer time. The church is looking for volunteers who can accompany the children on outdoor activities in the city, helping them gain exposure and valuable experiences. Volunteers are expected to pair up, plan and lead one or multiple outings. All confirmed volunteers must attend a training session to better understand the children's needs and the guidelines set by Po Leung Kuk. The next volunteer training is scheduled on February 8, 2026 (Sun) at 1:15pm-2:30pm at Island ECC.

Language: Cantonese is preferred

*Please note some of the outings may be a full day from 9am-6pm

In accordance with Po Leung Kuk's regulations, volunteers must be 18 years of age or older to register. All volunteers must submit and complete the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) to safeguard the well-being of children. Please note that outings have limited capacity due to the number of participating children each month. Completion of registration does not guarantee a spot—we will notify you by email once your application is confirmed.
