Homeless Outreach

We are joining an organization called Christian Concerned for the Homeless Association where they have been serving the homeless community for over 30 years in Hong Kong.  We have regular volunteers joining their weekly outreach programs on Tuesday nights where they visit street sleepers at Tung Chau Street Park with a cup of tea mainly to stir up conversations. Volunteers will pair up and sit down with one or two street sleepers they feel led to build a relationship with through weekly meetings on Tuesday nights.

There will be evangelical elements such as singing worship songs, holy communion, prayer and devotional sharing. In order to build relationships with the homeless community, we are recruiting Cantonese speaking volunteers who will be able to join and commit weekly for a minimum of two months in each rotation. We hope this weekly commitment for volunteers can be a launching pad for longer term service work with the homeless.
