English Corner with Kids (FULL)

Hope of the City is partnering with a local church, the Christian Church of Mustard Seed, located in Sham Shui Po. We are recruiting bilingual tutors who enjoy teaching children from primary grades 1 to 6 and helping to build up their confidence in speaking English. The tutoring will use a range of fun and engaging activity-based approaches.

Confirmed volunteers are required to attend a training session on March 2 (Sun). Volunteers will be paired up to take turns leading the activities, preparing materials, and facilitating the sessions that encourage the children to practice conversational English.

To foster stronger relationship-building with the students, we ask that volunteers commit to the scheduled program dates listed below.

Term 2: Mar 15, Mar 22, Mar 29, Apr 5, Apr 12, Apr 26, May 3, May 10, May 17 (tbc)

Time: 11:15am - 12:45pm

Training Date: Mar 2 (Sun) 10am-11:15am in Quarry Bay

Language requirement: English supplemented with Cantonese
